My story

Like many in healthcare, I began with a passion for helping others – but life had plans that would shape that mission in far more personal ways than I ever expected.

While I was in medical school, I lost my brother to suicide. It was a devastating, defining moment that exposed the deep cracks in a system that often treats illness without addressing the whole person. I continued my training with a sense of purpose, but also with a quiet, growing awareness that something was missing in how we care for mental and emotional health — in others, and in ourselves.

Years later, the path to becoming a mother brought its own lessons in endurance and vulnerability. Conceiving my three children through IVF was a reminder of how much in life is outside our control — and how strength often comes quietly, in the waiting, the hoping, and the not knowing. That chapter deepened my perspective as both a doctor and a human being. It taught me that resilience isn’t just about pushing through, but about allowing space for uncertainty, vulnerability, and grace.

Then came the pandemic.

As a doctor, I was no stranger to medical emergencies. But watching my husband – a frontline doctor and high-risk Covid patient – admitted to hospital at the height of COVID was a different kind of fear. It wasn’t just clinical. It was personal. The helplessness, the exhaustion, the fear of raising three children under 5 on my own – I experienced burnout in a way I had seen in others but never truly faced myself.

That was my turning point.

I studied Lifestyle Medicine not just as a doctor, but as someone who had lived the consequences of chronic stress, trauma, and disconnection. I trained in Executive Coaching because I knew that people – especially high achievers – often don’t need more pressure. They need clarity, support, and tools that work in real life.

Today, I work with individuals and organisations to help people prevent burnout, restore energy, and live with intention. My approach blends medical insight with real-life empathy — because I’ve been there. And I know that when we start living in alignment with our values, nourish our bodies and minds, and make space for what matters, everything changes.

This is not just my profession. It’s my mission.
